Stars that Dance

New Fundraising opportunities!

I am excited to announce all the new ways that we can help your organization raise funds in new and unique ways.

You can sell stars in your school colors, or make the entire website available to customers and get a cut of the profits!  This is possible from anywhere in the country (and maybe world, we just have to put shipping into the formula!)

If you are local to Western Pennsylvania, you can take advantage of the glass mosaic parties that have been very successful.  We can set up at your location and make it an event.  Or, you can sell gift certificates to customers towards future workshops that they can come to on their own time.

Mosaic workshops

If you live in the area, or are willing to travel to Clarion, I am starting a series of workshops in glass mosaics.  I have been making mosaics for almost 2 decades and I have had the opportunity to teach classes at community colleges, in studios, and homes.  I am so excited to share the fun learning experience with everybody!  The $25 fee will include all materials and tools, snacks, and wine (for all participants 21 and up)  The workshop is open to anyone 12 and up, It would be a great activity to enjoy with your son or daughter!

I was looking for two designs that represent the month of February.  You will need to pick one or the other for the workshop.  You can also come to 2 different workshops that weekend if you want to make both of them!

The heart frame is a little easier than the tree frame and it captures the color options in glass.  Each frame will be unique, since each sheet of glass has its own personalities.

After spending an afternoon in the woods, I designed the tree frame.   There is so much beauty in the winter with the trunks and branches exposed against a stark background.   This design requires a little extra attention to detail, but I will have all of the difficult cuts made and ready to go for you.

Sign up today and pick your time with the drop down menu.  The class sizes are limited, so register as soon as you can!

Stars over the Bay bridge

While driving over the Bay bridge last weekend, I talked my teenage son into taking shots of the stars out of the window.  The sun was shining, the view was fabulous, and we were on our way home from a beautiful wedding.

Stars go on vacation

I spent the last week relaxing on a beautiful river and playing in the ocean.  Of course, I brought my stars along with me for a photo shoot.  I wish I had a picture of my ridiculous self, lying on the beach under a shepherd's crook that held the star in the sun.  I was aiming to get shots with beach chairs in the background, but had to wait for the pesky chair residents to get in the water. I probably looked like a creepy stalker who only had eyes for stars!

Click the images to see a preview, there are more to come! I am also thinking about doing a postcard/notecard series, especially if that means that I need to travel to beautiful places like this more often!

Cheer!

Hillary LeFay1 Comment

I completed an order for a group of hard working girls who went to nationals for cheerleading. One of the team members ordered 15 red stars with "cheer!" on the tags to give as gifts for the team.  I love knowing the story of where the stars are going and the positive messages being sent with them!
